BRAVE: Lessons from the Life of Omar (RA)

November 28, 2018 — 6:00 pm Free

When you hear the name Omar (may God be pleased with him), which of his qualities comes to mind? Omar loved justice, hated oppression, was gentle with the downtrodden, and was firm with the unjust. He was Al Farooq: the one who distinguishes truth from falsehood. But underlying all of these was his immense courage – from before he embraced Islam to when he became one of its fiercest defenders and advocates.

Join us on Wednesday, November 28 to recount some of the amazing stories of one of our greatest heroes, and what we can learn from his bravery – in both his humility and his bold leadership.

This event will take place in room L2.85 NB of John Jay College.
