Deadline for Mecca to Manhattan Young Women’s Leadership Series

Applications for Turning Point for Women and Families’ 10th annual Mecca to Manhattan: Muslim Women Moving Mountains (M2M), young women’s leadership training series are now live. M2M is an inspiring 8 week workshop series for Muslim girls and young women, ages 13-20, living in the New York City area. Workshops feature dynamic Muslim women who are leaders or emerging leaders in the fields of social services, health, community organizing, publishing, and more! It’s on 8 Saturdays from February to April 2020. Participants who have great attendance will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the series. We ask for a $20 deposit which is returned in the form of a $25 Gift Card upon successful completion. We also provide refreshments and metrocards as needed!

This is a great opportunity to meet and network with incredible leaders in various fields. The facilitators can act as mentors and several participants from past years have found internships through M2M! Facilitators include Rowaida Abdelaziz, Shahana Hanif, Kujegi Camara and more!
