ICNA MLK Day of Service

January 19, 2021 — 6:00 pm
Many of the programs we see today were heavily pushed by individuals during the Civil Rights movement
(ie, Black Panthers and Free Breakfast for Children). This pandemic has made so many people face food insecurity for the first time and it is through these movements that we are able to establish food pantries for those in need.
Join Imam Khalid Griggs as he enlightens us about continuing the legacy of the compassionate and the dreamers. Imam Griggs is the Imam of the Community Mosque of Winston-Salem in North Carolina and Associate Chaplain for Muslim Life at Wake Forest University. He is Chairman of Board of ICNA Council for Social Justice, an advocacy branch of Islamic Circle of North America, and many other organizations. He works towards promoting civic engagement and public advocacy and is a national and international lecturer, and human rights advocate.
